i came home from rehearsal to find the firefly poring over the donor list. she suggested that we go over them together and talk about them a little, so we went through and marked off all the ones that were a definite no for us (blonde-haired, ethnic, and limited availability) and then went through all the ones that were left using the short profiles available on the website. we’ve narrowed the list of 62 to down 12 possible donors. a few of them in particular look interesting to me, some of which have had no pregnancies and that would avoid the whole “did our friends use them?” issue but brings up the “why?” question. i’d definitely be interested in seeing some of the extended profiles for the ones on our list, but i’m not sure i’m ready to pay for them quite yet.
it’s funny the things you see even on the short profiles that can make you like or dislike a person. enjoys riding motorcycles, thin lips, artistic, ears stick out, outgoing and smiles a lot, every single person in his immediate family has some sort of heart disease.
apparently she also tried to call her insurance company, but misread their hours so when she called at 5:30 they were already closed. she’s going to try again tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll have some good news and if not at least we’ll know.
