moving on along

Well, I took my math final this morning. I don’t feel great about it. I had two questions that I had to leave blank because I didn’t want to get docked for going over the time limit and I really didn’t think I was going to be able to answer them correctly anyway. We’ll see I guess. Nothing I can do about it now. I did get back two of the assignments I was waiting for in my humanities class so I definitely have a B, and I only need to get 6 out of 10 points on the last assignment to get an A. The lowest I’ve gotten on these assignments is an 8, so I feel pretty confident saying that I probably have an A overall. I just really want to pull out that B in math at this point.

The electrician was here today. There’s a bit done, but most of it isn’t visible because it involved work with the low voltage system in the crawlspace. There is now a hole in the bedroom ceiling for the fan/light to be mounted. That’s going to be so nice to have.

My sister came over this evening and helped me with some cleaning, which was nice. I’m going to work a bit more tonight and spend tomorrow evening trying to get my office and the bedroom in order. Thursday I’m going to get my hair cut and then I get to go pick Firefly up and bring her home. I can’t wait for that!

We got the “in your own words” essays today from the five donors we were narrowed down to. Firefly called me (for the third time this evening, I think she misses me) to talk about them, and we were both thoroughly unimpressed with two of them–one of whom we were both expecting to be a serious contender. A third we thought was alright, but we’ve pretty much narrowed it down to two of them. We’ll talk about it more when she gets home, but I think we’re leaning toward one of them with the other as a backup choice.

Well, that’s the update for today. Until next time…
