It’s been a lovely start to the new year. We stayed up late hanging out with our friends, whose nicknames from here on out shall be Dee and Pia, and Bean and Badger showed up after midnight for a bit of frivolity as well. This morning we got up and went out for breakfast with Dee and Pia (who stayed in our guest room since neither of them were in any condition to drive), then headed home where I put a coat of polyurethane on some shelves. Firefly and I played one of the new W.ii games she got and she tested out another before heading out to meet up with Bennder, girlfriend-who-does-not-have-a-nickname-yet, and another friend for dinner. After I put a second coat of polyurethane on the shelves we spent some time with our kitties on the couch.
It would be very nice if I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow, but it should be a relatively laid-back day. Firefly goes back to work Sunday night, so hopefully we can make the most of the weekend. We’re supposed to be getting together with a couple of friends at some point, which I’m looking forward to.
