hello, wind.

We’re having some crazy weather here tonight. I’m sitting in my living room on my laptop, but it sounds like I’m in the middle of a wind tunnel. Crazy, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to sleep. I keep hearing things outside, and I’ve already had to go out and rescue our trash bin from running away into the neighbor’s yard–which is saying a lot since it’s one of those big ones on wheels that’s nearly as tall as I am. Which, now that I think about it, doesn’t sound like a lot seeing as how I’m…well, a bit on the short side. But trust me on this one.

I’m also the psycho wife that makes her wife let her know when she gets to work in bad weather. She arrived safe and sound, just in case you were worried.

I went to darts with Firefly tonight, where they played the slowest team in the league apparently. They were taking forever between turns and didn’t seem anxious to start the next match, which was frustrating since they play seven and we had to rush out as soon as it was over to get Firefly home in time to head out to work. Firefly’s team won, though, which is great.

My mom was feeling much better today,  and it was nice enough at lunch time that we were able to walk outside. During the nicer months we walk outside every day, but it’s been a while since we’ve been able to. I caught her up yesterday on where we are in this whole process and what the plan is, but we talked about it a bit more so that was good.

And that’s about it for today. I suppose I should go see about getting some sleep…
