what a nice weekend.

Well, we are home safe and sound and Firefly is back at work. She’s planning to work this week, but it’s likely that after the appointment with the OB on Thursday this’ll be it. She’s getting really worn out and having some issues with being on her feet and working overnight, and she is ready to be done.

As for our weekend, we had pretty good weather on Thursday–although it got cloudy as the day went on and we had a little rain late in the evening. We spent much of the evening alone in the cabin, making a yummy dinner and spending some time reading together in front of the fire. Friday we slept in a bit, then went into town and got some lunch and a puzzle to occupy us in the rainy afternoon.

Dee and Pia arrived late Friday afternoon and we spent some time hanging out while they got situated, then we headed over to meet up with the rest of our friends for a group dinner. They were going to watch a scary movie, and…well, I can’t do scary movies, so we headed back to our cabin, started the fire back up, worked on the puzzle, and then played poker until we were all tuckered out.

Saturday was rainy, too, so we made a yummy hot breakfast in the cabin and headed to town to take a scenic railroad trip, which was fun. Other than that we mostly just hung out, worked on the puzzle, and enjoyed the fire and good company. We did go over to our friends’ cabin for a little bit late in the evening, after the rain had stopped, to hang out and be social before heading back and turning in.

Today was beautiful, of course, so we loaded up the vehicles, checked out, and did a bit of fishing before hitting the road. I got some pictures, although not as many as I would have liked. I’ll try to get some posted tomorrow, but for now it’s time for me to head to bed.

My comfy bed. That I will hopefully only have to occupy alone for the next 4 nights.
