hey, i forgot!

I meant to post this a while ago, but with the excitement of the holidays and everything being so busy in general with a new baby and all I never did…

Monkey got a package in the post! We found it stuffed in our mailbox on Christmas eve, with a postmark from the Royal Mail. How cool is that? His auntie Loz and her girlfriend sent him a package all the way from London! We opened it up and found these:

One of them had a super cute jacket and shoes that are a bit too big for him yet, but the other one had these cuties–which she said were the most British gift she could find:

Aren’t they awesome? I remember reading these books with my mom when I was little, and I can’t wait to read them with him–and to have these little cuties to go along with them. They have plastic eyes so he won’t be able to play with them for a while yet, but they look so good on his bookshelf. I love them!

OMG! We literally have an entire nursery full of Beatrix Potter collectibles. We have crib bedding, stuffed animals, water color painted prints of BP original work, a royal dalton ceramic clock and lamp, little picture frames, a diaper holder, blankets, even little Peter Rabbit jackets for various sized infants, little overalls and cotton shorts and even a little hat. 15 years of collecting. So sad it is all up in the attic and will probably never ever be used by a real-live infant. Let little monkey give an extra love to his Peter Rabbit for us. That will help a lot.

    Hello!!!!

I am so happy that you guys love them and so glad that he got the gifts just in time for Christmas!
Wasn’t sure if they would make it or not!

I look forward to seeing a pic of him in his little jacket and shoes! Decided at the last minute to buy them in a bigger size as I figured he probably already had LOADS of stuff in the newborn to 3 months range!!!

Future story time with Paddington and Peter Rabbit sounds fantastic! Yay!

Give Monkey a cuddle from us, he is looking even more gorgeous (if that is at all possible) every time you post! 🙂

    Lots of love xxxx
