We’ve been hard at work on our house, doing everything from pulling up the carpet in the bedrooms (to discover lovely hardwood underneath) to painting my office to replacing the dining room carpet with laminate flooring (sadly there was no hardwood under that mess). We’ve also been completely gutting both of our bathrooms–one at a time of course–to make some big improvements. Keep an eye out for links to see what we’ve been doing.

Our house is rather unique, from the open, vaulted ceilings to the copper vent over the stove. Some of this uniqueness, however, was rather off. Like the original bathroom layouts. I’ll try to give a good example of what it was like before, but in some cases I just don’t have any good pictures available, and…well, it’s too late now.

Our next big project will be getting the nursery together, and after that: the kitchen. We’ll be getting rid of the cabinets that obstruct the view into the dining room and changing the layout a bit to make it more open. That’s going to have to wait a little while for now, however.
